Considering that there are 7,106 living languages in the world, the total number of punctuation marks is in the hundreds.  Every language has its own set of punctuation marks. Even if two or more languages share the same set of marks, they may be used differently. For example, in French, colons, semicolons, exclamation points, and question marks are all preceded by a space.  In English, there is no space before the mark.
