Shouldn't we use "goes" instead of go?
Do we consider, Al and Eli to be plural?
Please check if the sentence is correct "Al and Eli go to the beach to surf with their friends"

You can substitue the pronoun "they" for Al and Eli. They go to the beach.
If either Al or Eli go to the beach, the correct word to use in a similar sentence would be "goes".
They go, he goes,
For example, Molly and Muffy go to the bar. They go to the bar.
If only Molly is headed for the bar, you would say "Molly goes to the bar" and not "Molly go to the bar".
