Hi,

Could anyone give me some clear guidelines on how to determine when to say

  1. Good morning?
  2. Good afternoon?
  3. Good evening?
  4. Good night?

I would like to know what time each greeting begins and ends.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Info: I live in South East Asia.

Good morning is used from little before the sun rises until noon (midday/12:00PM) Good afternoon is used from noon until the sun sets. Good evening is used since the sun sets until little before morning. Good night is something like good bye and it can be used almost at any time of the day (or night), but it can only be used when you´re not going to see the person or people until the next day.
