audiobooks, they are read by actors with good prononciation, some of the books are adapted to different levels - beginner, intermediate, high, so you can practise your vocabulary; try to find some materials in youtube like English conversations, audiocourses, TV and radio news. Do not learn from music texts, the language in lyrics is often wrong gramatically.

What I experience all the time is that lots of student either want to study too much grammar rules or they are trying to translate all the time. Its OK if they wanna be translators, etc... , but otherwise I don't think so. For me listening and reading are the best way to study a language.
