i want to know how many way can i say a greeting of english language?.becuase i want to use it correctly,when i meet my friends and,someone who i meet on the first time.thanks you so much

when you meet someone the first time, say 'nice to meet you', or 'it's a pleasure'. it works both in formal and informal situations.

when you meet people you know but not close with, you can say the usual 'good morning / afternoon / evening' or a 'hello' would do. 'how do you do?' is also accepted in all situations. (don't mix it up with how are you, though.)

when you meet your friends, you can say hi, hello, hey there, etc.
