MEETING ..... is it more correct to HAVE a meeting or to HOLD a meeting?

there is no such thing as more or less correct usage. it can be either correct and incorrect.

in this case, have or hold a meeting are both correct. have a meeting is more general whereas hold a meeting can be used in formal contexts as well.

in some  way  you must say  have  and hold..... the  both are correct  !!!
