It sounds like she was saying "they were for a long time now" but the audio got cut off or cut out. She was trying to say she had a lot of experience, basically, but was being interrupted like the interviewer didn't care which is why people were laughing. Usually if you hire someone for a job, you'd like to know what kind of experience they have.
