Hi, I'm looking for an expression equivalent to "going through the general terms and conditions" but in a sneaky way and I just can't put my finger on it . the expression is like if the speaker wants to say that in general those terms and conditions are put in a very small caracters and are hidden as much as possible. I thought of scanning the red lines but I don't think this is it. thanks in advance for your helps:)

I know what you can say, and it is simple. "Read the fine print."
